When sewing the setting triangles onto the churn dash blocks, I would be inclined to position the churn dash blocks on top so I can see where the points are and aim my sewing machine needle so as to avoid nipping off the points in the seam allowance. Time stamp about 20:35 ff.

Churn dash has always been my favorite. Never thought about reversing it! Duh.

It's a cute pouch except for the raw edges inside which either have to be zigzagged or add binding. If the pattern weren't cut on the fold, but had a seam, directional fabric could be used, and when stitched leave an opening for turning and all the seams would be finished.

Jennifer, I really love your stuff but although this maybe cute and not intended to be scary or spooky it’s very challenging for me as a Christ follower to rejoice at this panel. Witches are real and represent evil. Be careful! The devil is real and subtle. I am sure this is not your intention to be a supporter of evil but just fun and play. However, there are many warnings in scripture to abstain from such things.

I think you accidentally omitted the most important part of the video. The assembly?

I like to make my own straps with two inch width at 67 inches each. I use a bias maker tool. I leave three inches at each end so I can thread them through the bottom loops and sew the ends together then finish sewing the strap. It's more economical. I do like the pocket you added to the front, so I will be adding it to my bags. I make bags for my local Christmas charity program. I’m retired and I love doing this. This is my first year doing this and I plan to continue making Santa Sacks and drawstring backpacks for the children in my community. I love all my UA-cam tutorials. Thank you.

Me again - and I've just finished stitching up a pair of these in the large size. Such a quick and easy project! I used the same fabric on both of them for the outer shell (cut from a single fat quarter if you can believe that); one has a teal lining & zipper, the other a variegated blue-green lining and peacock blue zipper. I also added zipper tabs with some scraps of the lining fabrics just out of personal preference. I'm very happy with how they turned out, and I'm sure I'll be making more in the future.
